Our Pre-Service Classes are opportunities for supplementary equipping. Classes are available for both adults and school-aged children.

• Our Pre-Service Kids’ Class is currently going through The Biggest Story Curriculum by Kevin DeYoung, working through the entire Bible.

• Our Pre-Service Adult Class covers many topics such as theology, history, inductive Bible study/overview, and Christian living (eg., discipling, evangelism, etc.). Typically these classes are run in a 3-6 week mini-series format. For a list of current and upcoming classes, click here.

Our Sunday Morning Service is typically around 90 minutes in length. There is no dress code, with a range from casual to more dressed up.

The first half of our service is spent singing, praying, and reading God’s Word. In the second half, one of our pastors will preach a message from the Bible, and then we celebrate the Lord’s Supper.

We believe that God has given us instructions in the Bible about what we are to do when we gather as a church. We seek to centre our services around five words: read, preach, pray, sing, and see.

“Read” - 1 Timothy 4:13

We place a high value on reading and hearing God’s Word. We believe that “man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matt 4:4). We’re convinced that “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Rom 10:17). Our service begins by hearing God’s Word call us to worship and it ends with a benediction (blessing) from Scripture.

“Preach” - 2 Timothy 4:2

All Scripture is ultimately about Jesus and “is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (1 Tim 3:16). We are committed to preaching the gospel to everyone—its truth, power and implications. The ordinary way this is done is by preaching through entire books of the Bible in an expositional way, where the main point of the sermon is the main point of the passage.

“Pray” - 1 Timothy 2:1

Regular corporate and public prayer acknowledges our dependence on God and allows us to focus our hearts on Him. Through books of the Bible like the Psalms, examples of prayer throughout the Epistles or Jesus’ own teaching, Scripture teaches us how to pray. Our services incorporate specific prayers of adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.

“Sing” - Colossians 3:16

We desire to build each other up and worship God by, “addressing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord” (Eph 5:19). Lyrics set to music have formative and instructive effect and so we seek to sing songs that praise God for who he is and what he’s done, teach people the truths of Scripture, and reinforce the themes of the preached Word. We sing a blend of old and new songs with musicians and vocalists leading us, seeking to highlight the main “instrument,” which is the singing of the congregation. “See” - Luke 22:19-20 & Romans 6:3-4

The ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper beautifully present and remind us of the gospel, both visually and experientially. Baptism is a one time act of a Christian which pictures our spiritual death to sin, symbolic burial with Christ, resurrection with him to new life, and our union with him and his people (the church). The Lord’s Supper is an ongoing ordinance of the church symbolizes Christ’s body broken (pictured in the bread) and blood poured out (pictured in the cup) for our sins. In the Lord’s Supper, we remember and proclaim our communion with Christ and with one another through what he accomplished for us.

On the 1st and 3rd Sunday Evenings of every month, we gather from 6:00-7:00pm to sing, pray, and hear a short devotional from God’s Word. This is a more intimate gathering where you can hear more about the church’s ministry during the week and meet more of our members.
